The Real Estate Market in Big Bear Valley is markedly improved over last year. As of June first closed sales are up 17% over 2014 YTD. While pending sales are up 29%, and the available residential inventory is off 15% Having said that buyers are not happy with the limited amount of houses and cabins to choose from and sellers are not seeing price increases as the buyer pool remains under 100 closed sales valley wide each month. Fear of expected rising interest rates may be the reason for the stellar start to the year. Only time will tell if the market is poised to rebound sharply.
